Not all fans want to come to a cramped rusty sh1thole of a stadium, modern crowds want space, and good facilities, and vfm, or they will just sit at home and watch it on tv. Big catchment in West London, and with the right marketing and prices we could regularly fill a 30-35k stadium.

Good pro's won't take us as a serious prem team unless we have plans to expand, otherwise we look like a quaint little club punching above our weight, we must move on, so many smaller clubs have overtaken us in the last 10 years.

Fulham, Reading were getting crowds of 2-5k in old stadiums, once they upgraded now see 24k on a regular basics.

We have a larger fan-base than both those clubs and a great location to boot.

agreed, same for clubs like Southampton, Stoke, Brighton all had lower crowds than us. Doubt we will ever get close to 40k but 25-30k definetely possible

good post, I'm a traditionalist, hate change, but the minute I stepped into Readings new ground, with the leg room, toilet and refreshment facilities, I knew we needed to get out of LR, it now is not fit for League 1, never mind the Premiership. Give the paying public good facilities and they will come in their droves

There are some ****ing idiots supporting our club living in cloud cookoo land convince that we could build a bigger stadium and fill it easily, or think the Owners would build a bigger stadium to lower ticket prices....some off you just don"t get it and never will.

The OP has a very valid point we barely have enough hardcore fans to fill our ground and since I've been a kid it's always been the case. There is no real excuse with the exception of a very serious commitment, illness or bereavement what should keep you from this game. I would walk across hot ****ing coals to make Saturday, I live and breath this club

I don't see any problem with us at least matching Fulham's crowds after all we have a similar, if not bigger fan base. I honestly think that with a better ground with better facilities we'd easily get 25k every week. OK 40k is too big for now but build a 30k seater with the option to extend. I walked around Coventry a couple of times in the last year, there on a work function, the stadium is far far better than ours in terms of facilities its embarrasing and they will be in leage 2 next year. We have to progress as a club and clubs like Reading, Southampton and Brighton really do show that if you build a decent enough stadium with the facilities to match then crowds will automatically increase. I don't see that theres any argument against this.

Everything change when the club became more ambition, ken bates start rebuilding the stadium, getting better players in and glory hunter will come along but it all take time.

I am not ashamed we are a small club with a smaller fan base because we got real fans that follow Qpr thick and thin, it will change one day though and it will have to if we want to be ambitious so enjoy it while it last

we could possibly get 25k for some games but as it has been pointed out, we don't fill our ground now despite what a lot believed last year and before the season started! I have stated a few times, if you look back over the years especially when we were going well in the early '90's we still didn't average particually well!
