    Alex is bluffing

PSG general manager Leonardo succinctly explained the club's current transfer dealings in an interview with L'Equipe.

"Thiago Motta and Alex? For both, there is a possibility. But for now, nothing is done."

Nothing is done, just means they haven't agreed anything yet, they are most likely in talks.

I would say sign by 5.00 tonight or the deal is off.

How many centre backs do PSG need? Good grief.

Having the window just puts the agents in control.

I really wouldn't care if the money was in the game, but it isn't hence the fans get shafted with big price hikes all the time.

price hikes don't even touch the sides for a club like us pursuing top players. the gate on saturday wd scarcely have covered barton's wages for a month let alone anyone else's.

which takes us back to the underlying factor - if we want to be a top side, not just "in the PL, yay we're playing...Everton/Fulham/Villa this weekend...oooooooo!" - we need a bigger infrastructure....stadium, training ground, etc.
                          it's a long road.
our failure to catch a bench warmer at a rotational club highlights our difficulties.

totally agree, is it the same agents pushing transfers or do PSV just watch who we're after and jump in with a bid!

Which to me also asks were we serious about Alex, Samba, and all the other big names we've been linked with?
Or was it one big smoke screen of look at how ambitious we are, for us only to settle for less "glamorous" names?
