We should never over pay, we have to stick to a wage budget a club of our size, to many have chased a dream in this league and now are struggling.

if we want top quality, we have to pay for it, but wouldnt want somebody who doesnt want to play for the club anyway.
But we need to get moving, time is running out and it would take a miracle for this squad to survive this season without any additions. It may improve, but theres not enough quality to get enough wins imo. Very little up front, a leaky back four and no goalscoring midfielders

I would rather Alex then Samba but changed my mind.

This proves we could pay him all the money in the world but he wouldn't give us 100% at the end of it.

However, it is understood Alex will not be joining Mark Hughes' side as the club are unwilling to match his wage demands.

Wonder what he was asking per week?

hmm seems we have spend too much time running in circles turning out to be dead ends. Now only a week left in the window I would be surprised if we come up with anything else than panic buys or nothing.

Never mind, sure you can work up a bit of ignorant racial prejudice about Malaysians (the country where our chairman actually comes from). Are they meant to be lazy/ tight/ untrustworthy/ benefit scroungers/ smelly? Perhaps this would explain why Alex didn't sign. Just trying to help you out here...

Well his demands were probably realistic and ok for us, until his agent spoke with PSG and they said they'd pay X / week, at which point his agent would come back to us and say he wants to stay in London ideally, but you'd need to match X wages.... If we say forget it, they then discuss terms with PSG.

A big name signing like Alex would have only helped attract other names too. Its not going to be easy to persuade players like him to come to a club who face a real relegation threat, thats my fear. We have wasted so many points against the lower teams, which I think we would have won with Mark Hughes in charge. We were playing too defensively. Im glad its changed now, but hoping its not too late

Isn't Onuoha on his way though? That's 2 defenders which should be enough. Get Piennar in and then we just need a striker

I know exactly where Tony is from. We still have Amit. Anyway, without getting all precious, it really wasn't meant in a nasty way. All tongue-in-cheek, but you knew that and are clearly playing up to take the moral high ground, so before I wind myself up by rowing with you, I'll let you reply as many times as you like to try and make out I'm a KKK member.

                          Enjoy.

Alex poised for PSG move after snubbing QPR interest
