Won't have time to appeal. Mind you I think in the past appeals have gone through past the deadline and they have still gone through.

I have 3 points
1. why is it that we are taking this fella's word as gospel? surely if this story was true it would be all over the news outlets like the original story was about him joining in the first place.
2. Why would the club not appeal what do they have to lose?
3. if all is true how can this country be so messed up. Let all these imigrants in and give them jobs and houses all paid for by US, and not let him in (who is someone that will be paid ALOT of money and therfor have to pay ALOT of tax which is money going into the country not out) I do hate our imigration laws!

I would like to think that Hughes has his own targets anyway in the pipeline as wasn't Henrique originally touted as a possible signing during Warnocks reign?
I am sure he would have welcomed him as part of the team seeing as he would not have taken a squad number because of his age (that 25 man team rule) but doubt he would have been his first choice

If true, what a load tosh. As discussed before on here, how wrong is it that any old stinking disease ridden Romanian can come in and sell big issues whilst sponging us dry yet a footballer that would be paying 50% tax on a very good wage is rejected.
And we wonder why our countries in such a state eh!You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Henrique was Hughes' player as only first mentioned after Hughes joined and the report was he wanted Henrique to be his first signing...Originally posted by IsleworthRanger View PostI would like to think that Hughes has his own targets anyway in the pipeline as wasn't Henrique originally touted as a possible signing during Warnocks reign?

Ref these reports I find it stupid that we wouldn't appeal.
Ref time for appeal before the deadline, could the signing from Sau Paolo be processed with the caveat "subject to getting work permit on appeal" and that paperwork for the signing go through to the FA before deadline on the basis he could be granted a permit on appeal even after the transfer deadline, but if that appeal fails then the transfer is null and void.....??
We wouldn't have to sacrifice a place in th 25 man squad as under age, so if this is feasible we'd have nothing to lose by trying.

If we don't appeal, I would suggest it's looking more like a publicity stunt than a serious attempt to sign him. Looks good that we're 'trying' to get young international talent, but we end up paying someone like Johnson huge wages on a long contract.Originally posted by Del View PostHenrique was Hughes' player as only first mentioned after Hughes joined and the report was he wanted Henrique to be his first signing...

The club was asking for the caps he won at under 20 level to be counted as international games, which in fairness was never going to happen. Don't believe they count under 21s, so they were never going to clear it with under 20 caps. Dont see how they can appeal either really.

I think this is the reason why it was turned downCriteria for Players
To be eligible for a Governing Body Endorsement under Points Based System:
1. The applicant club must be in membership of the Premier League or Football League. During the period of endorsement, the player may only play for clubs in membership of those leagues (i.e. the player may not be loaned to a club below the Football
League);
2. The player must have participated in at least 75% of his home country’s senior competitive international matches where he was available for selection during the two years preceding the date of the application; and
3. The player’s National Association must be at or above 70th place in the official FIFA World Rankings when averaged over the two years preceding the date of the application.

Need to take a close read into it

There's supposedly a loophole for youngters with talent to get permits, or does that only apply to big clubs!Originally posted by winalotto View PostDont see how they can appeal either really.
Henrique was best plater at the U20 World cup so meets the criteria surely...
How many full internationals had the Da Silva twins played before Man Utd got permits????
