True, true but often managers don't look at the bigger picture because of pressure from above. If they convince their owners/chairman to spend £4m they often have to prove that they can recoup the money. Obviously if we made it to the Premiership the owners will get their return but if we don't the manager has to justify why we've spent £4m on a player.

thats football though, and he who dares rodney my son. Every sinlge person you sign has an element of risk about it? is there really much resale value on the eyetie? or aggy? or heider? regardless of their fees i bet if you added up their wages and contracts n evrything else we spent on them we would have close to 4 million!!!!

Agreed but I would never have signed any of them. Faurlin is young and if he impresses this season we could recoup our money to a bigger team. Helguson was injury prone long before we bought him and Agyemang is/was poor. Of course there is an element of risk but calculated risk is far better for both the club and the bank balance than gambling, which it seems we've done too much. I applaud the club for signings like Buzsaky, Connolly, Vine etc and to make such good signings you are always going to get some duff ones but we've signed quantity over quality over the last 2 years.

Would be a good acquisition but the price is offputting.

If he fires the goals to get us promoted £4 million will be peanuts! ...sooner or later we are going to have to bite the bullet and realise you can buy as many midfielders as you like but centre forward is the one position we are going to have to spend some serious cash.

I'd easilly pay £4m for him if it were down to me. A promotion chasing striker without a doubt.

                  No.

Would I be happy if we signed him for £4m?

Yeah! Its not my money and we need a goalscorer!

                      I dissagree.

He's a far better striker than Chopra, and although his price was way over the top, Kamara would be a snip at that purely for his goals.

Someone of his quality would really show our intent and prove this board want to take QPR places. Transfer prices for players are now getting silly. Look at Zamora, he's gone or going for £6million plus and this fella scored the same as him last season in just one game! £4million is a lot of money for a Championship club to shell out, but yet I rate this fella is better than Cheddar and he's off to Sheffield Sh1tnited for £3million.

What really gets up my nose is how Pete asks these sort of questions and then never replys to peoples questions on the subject.

I dont think 4m for Kamara can be called "a snip"

Hasnt he been injured for months??
