How was Mackie streets ahead of him? Cos he runs around aimlessly and knocks the ball 10 yards ahead of him when he runs? Wright Phillips was easily our most threatening player today (didnt have much competition) and was the only one who looked like making something happening, he was the only one showing for the ball most of the game aswell.

Mackie was the only player we had who took on a Swansea defender. He created a great chance for Bothroyd.
      SWP done fark all.

I think SWP is a better player than Mackie dont get me wrong, but SWP doesnt look like he even wants to be here. I cant even remember the last time he took a defender on twice in a game without falling over.

Mackie has had more of an input to our side this year with his 2 goals and assists than SWP has and thats a fact.

SWP needs to up his game. And sharpish.

Mackie was the main person who ran at players but he lost the ball the majority of times he did. SWP had a good effort at the start of the game (probably the best effort we had, other than the Bothroyd effort), near the end of the game SWP got the ball and moved into the middle but it was 4v1, what is he meant to do? Beat every man on the pitch? He needs support but didnt get it today and I thought he was our most threatening player, funny how different people see the game in different ways. Agreed though SWP needs to play on the right.

He's ok but what concerns me is where's that electric pace he had?

I'm starting to doubt him, he works hard and gets his half chances here and there but there really isn't an end product! In fairness we need to see him play the right wing and send some crosses in to better finishers! He was on an island most of the time today in the second half, on his own with 4 or 5 Geordies surrounding him! I have to wonder how much more confidence he would have if that wonder strike against WBA was not ufairly ruled offside?

Is there something we're all missing? What is the fascination of Warnock and now Hughes playing him on the left? It is clear to me and any man with eyes that he has been very effective when on the right. I think the clue is in his fookin name!
I'm here for a long time, not a good time...

Think we all agree SWP should play on the right. That is where we see the best of him.

I just cant understand why a player who has represented his country and played at the highest level all his career cant cross a f0ckin football.
I was an average player at best and played in the sh1tty hayes and district league and i could cross a ball.

Agreed, it truly astounds me when a professional footballer can't beat the first man with a cross as well

                            I blame ###########.

Maybe he does all the auditions himself in a kind of 'directors chair' styleee so he's knackered most of the time

People say the same about Lennon and Walcott.

Thing is he can whip a ball in. When played on the right wing.

No other option today. Think Hughes has drilled the lads enough this week & didn't want to throw them to off course by changing the formation drastically. I'm pretty sure though after a full weeks training he will have judged who is better either side & SWP will be restored to his natural position.
