Completely understand how we are going to play, but we still need someone who is able to put the ball in the net. So dont start patronising people!

well pete if i were you i would phone every football manager. tell them they don't need strikers just pack the midfield.

Adel is a useful signing for us but he is not a striker, perhaps we can make a makeshift one out of him but he isnt one and doesnt want to be one.

If we are serious about promotion we should stop ****ing about and sign beckford now and put all the arguments etc to bed.

I know, I am in the minority in regards to another striker, but league is not won or lost in August, that comes in May. I'd rather judge things in 10-12 games, (when it is not too late) and see how tarrabt actually does up front. Added bonus could be Balanta, so I'm not just as impatient as others. I also think, Faurlin and Buzsacky give you goals from midfield.

Good Pete's latest. Well done Pete. Someone must of had a word with Dexter because he is acting much better. I think change is needed upfront and I would like to see Balanta being given a run but we might need a powerful striker to play along him as however u think Jim will make us play I can't see Ramage not hitting the long balls. I think we should drop stewart for that reason and play Gorkks and Connelly in the middle as they have composure on the ball. Stewart is fine as a squad player in my eyes

Pete, we hope buzsaky and faurlin will give us goals although not convinced we will get many from faurlin as he will have to be playing the deeper role.

promotion isnt won in august you are right but its madness to wait and then realise we need to buy or loan a player when the opportunity is there to make the right purchase right now, then there is less likelyhood of having to play catchup come january.

You know the right thing to do is to buy a quality striker now so i dont really understand why you are straining to argue against it. especially as you have made it clear enough your strong desire for promotion.

I don't know how this team is going to play or even who is going to play, if you do can you enlighten us then we might be able to better understand your argument re the strikers.

Thats even erring on the side of caution and basing things not going to plan. I'm not going to talk about Sousa9 as I know you don't like it), but even when Dowie left we were 9th and 4-5 points off Top 6, it was only around March we started to fall away.
