That's not to say he won't regain the form, but he's been pretty average for Villa. Let's see what Hughes can do with him...
The Villa forums are raving about how good he is at the mo.

They'll be spewing if we nick him

Got to say he is better than Ali at the moment due to the fact Ali can't walk! Not so sure he is the man to replace Ali though because that's a hell of a lot of tackles the lad has made this season.

Over the last couple of games he's played well, but he was poor for a good while. To be fair to him, he'd only just started playing again.

As I say, let's see what Hughes can do with him if this happens.

Rather a PL ego like Ireland rather than a Champ ego like Bothroyd.

I hope you're right mate, when he was at Manchester City he had a great run of form and I thought he was one of the best players in the league, followed him ever since
                      Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                      And many more mistakes

Steven ireland was and still is a class act.he tore chelsea to pieces a few weeks ago.Very attack minded with a nack of scorin lots of goals from midfield. He also makes goals for others. But he is a little cracked.but with JB and SI in the same team im sure we'd grind out many a result, when we may have lost the game.Onwards and upwards i say.

seems to be getting his form back after a poor season and a half. if he gets back to what he was he would be a great addition to our team. never been known as someone who upsets the dressing room but is a tad eccentric with his views on what defines classy living(ie his jam jar, house etc) but thats here nor there. bent and ireland would be two great steals from villa. proper sihte tattoo tho.
