Off the pitch, he seems like a bit of t*t (the magazine shoots at his house, the cars , and the two dead grandmas)

Seems like he could be a very decent player though. Hmm.

          Also, his head is tiny...

Was a really good player for Man City while Hughes was manager. Lost his way since then but make no mistakes...he is a fruitcake

Is that a handkerchief sticking out of his crack? If yes, then why? If not, then what is it and still - why?
Banning people is no longer my hobby,
but take a look at my photo blog:

How and why did I start supporting QPR in Estonia:

Yeh but agree with Ric-Roc he is a good player, shocked at being outed at City and didn't want to be at Villa....so yes ecellent ball passer look at his stats whilst at City, not quite Faurlin but hey who'd object?

diffeent type of player i think. Ali's main attribute is his knack for tacking and winning the ball back before giving it simple and keeping the game ticking over.

I think Ireland is more atttack minded and box to box, certainly scores more goals (from memory) and is also a very good passer who can create.

Summary, different, but a perfect alternative.

                            IMHO:

Atm, no, Ale is better. But Ireland (as somebody has mentioned) was Man City's POTY a few years back and so he has an awful lot of ability. If Hughes could get him playing like that again then I, personally, think he could be better than Ale, yes. He seems more attacking and has that ability to penerate their oppo defence which I think sometimes Ale lacks.

Any idea how him and Barton get on? One assumes they were at City and the Toon together.

He was good, but isn't anymore.

That's not to say he won't regain the form, but he's been pretty average for Villa. Let's see what Hughes can do with him...
