It's uninspiring, but let's give the lad a chance. I remember the same being said for Jay Simpson...me being one of those writing him off. He's got a point to prove.

If Morrison, Jackson and Holt can score for Norwich at this level, I'm sure we can get something out of Macheda. Granted, he's living of a match winning sub appearance, but you never know what will happen with some regular game time. It's only a loan, so not a huge risk.

Morison, Jackson & Holt were all very regular scorers prior to being promoted.

Ric, I'm sure Macheda could do the same in the lower leagues. Again, not saying he's the answer, but comparing a Prem record to scoring regular in the NPC isn't a fair one.

Just to make this clear, I'm not championing this signing. We do need better. Just saying if we do sign him, let's give the lad a chance.

Without doubt he'd get our support but of all the players we could sign we are going for an unproven, reserve team player whilst we are in a relegation battle?

I find that odd. We may well get a very good forward as well as Macheda but I'd still have the same opinion.

Agreed mate, but the likes of Defoe and Jones were always gonna be just rumours. This is why I don't get carried away. We know our level, and if we somehow pull off a coup like that, it's a bonus.
