Firstly, let me say - I like our Jamie, I REALLY like him.
I like his enthusiasm and his never say die attitude and yes he IS holding down his place currently. BUT.....

He is a little lightweight, he's NOT prolific (not since October 2010 anyway, although to be fair, he was injured for alot of that). I could score for Scotland

There's no doubt he's a valuable squad player for us currently. However, I'm expecting us to bring in 4-5 (NW's numbers not mine) players in Jan who will once again raise the bar regards the quality of our squad and 1st choice team. And again, next Summer (assuming we stay up), etc.

Which means sooner or later our Jamie will have to rise to the challenge or he may go the same way as lesser players before him.
I REALLY HOPE HE DOES AND IS WITH US FOR YEARS TO COME.

i dont understand that.you could score for Scotland?what does that mean...you could score against Scotland,or you could score in the Scottish League, that might make sense..but you could score for Scotland?Could you score for Scotland against Spian?what you are saying is that the Scots are so good that anybody with the quality of service they provide, anybody could score?

I tell you what, I would consider picking up infraction points or getting a ban to say exactly what I think of the original post on this, if it wasn't for the fact that today has shown that there are far more serious things in life......but the op here is one big pile of absolute balderdash!!!!

The OP blames Mackie for taking his boyfriends place in the team, that's all.

Embarrassing thread. Love it when things come back to bite people.

I didn't think he'd be good enough for the prem. But I think he's been excellent in every game he's played.

I don't think there are many of us who being honest thought he'd step up this well. With the author of this thread, he can't even see what he's added to us since his return. His work rate has been infectious on the team, just as Adel's lack of it was becoming.

With him, we have a team. In the harsh reality, he'll be replaced as a starter in the not too distant future, but I think he's more than proved his worth at this level.

Mackie and barton's move into the middle. These two epitomise the work rate for me. There's not too much difference from villa down to wigan/blackburn. Having likes of mackie, barton and in turn the rest of the team work so hard makes all the difference.

You have to laugh at how sad some people are, as they seem not to care what is said, unless it's said by certain people, buts that's society now.
