Ferdinand was very good in the 2008/9 season, but what has that got to do with now ? hopefully NW and TF are more interested in what a player can offer over the next three seasons, not what they done three years ago.

I was just saying... He's injury prone now and is never match fit as he can't get 4 games in a row under your belt... Ledley king is an acception.

I think with Ferdninad and his injuries, you need to bear in mind the fact he's always been in demand for most games and certainly the important games, be it league or Europe as Fergie hasn't had the luxuy of good CB's to rotate in that area like he has other parts of the pitch. Add to that he's played for England for years and when fit always been included so again little chance to recover from minor knocks etc. I think that could've contributed a lot to the other injuries he's picked up.

I don't think for a second Fergie would let him go tbh, but if he did, and he came to a club like ours, then the lack of midweek European football, especially the top level he's been used to would be a good thng for longevity. I also think he may well hang up his England boots after the Euro's, and if so would also have international breeaks for recovery. This would again improve longevity to his career.
