Now we really are getting carried away. Couldn't the same be said of Gabbidon as slow, crocked and past it and look what he;s done for us without ever being close to the calibre of Ferdinand (who, despite the apparent rumour, started for Utd yesterday).

Can't believe what I'm reading here, how could any QPR fan possibly not think that Rio Ferdinand is not a worthwhile transfer target?

He is head and shoulders above any defender that has played for us in the last 15 years, including his brother. Ok he's getting on a bit but he is still a class act and will do a fine job for at least the next 2 seasons!

Bloody hell, some people express an opinion about players, and others jump down their throats! Some might think Rio is a good player, but others don't. I happen to believe the major part of his game, pace, is gone.

By the way, Rio is younger than Derry, Heider, Young and Hill. All for of those have done a job this season, especially Heider. Derry was mustard for the first few games.

Let me just clarify I think Bassong would be a class signing, good player, and I don't think we have a hope of getting Rio. But in a toss up between the too, Rio is miles better. Full stop.
