Just give Adel a chance, sometimes they should leave him doing his magic turns and tricks, give him free kicks, give him a freedom on the pitch. I have a feeling NW and JB put too much pressure on him and for 21-22 yrs old lad that comes too much over.

Playing him in a free role reaped benefits last year, it drew defenders and showed his talents at their best. Tying him into a different role clearly isn't working.
And, before the "he wants to leave" brigade start, all such statements come through his agent -- when he himself is asked directly, he has always said that he is happy to stay at LR -- as recently as four days ago! Can't believe so many are so gullible as to fall for agent patter.
We can't influence NW, but I'd like to think he is at least wondering why AT isn't having the same impact, but he needs to look at his own formation and tactics.
Faurlin and Barton CM's to get the best out of both, AT behind the striker with the freedom to roam. SWP one wing, Smith the other (like Mackie but a better footballing brain).
And instructions to get in opponents' faces the way they did with Chelsea.

Given a bit more of a free role!?!?!?!?! Yeah playing him in that defensive midfield role has really shackled his creativity! Adel goes wherever the hell he feels like on the pitch! 'Bad management' aside Adel needs to pull his socks up and get on with playing football, most of the pressure etc. surrounding Adel comes from himself with his constant bleating to the press about which club wants to sign him!
I'm not one of those who constantly gets on at Adel, I thought he was superb last season and always defended him but this season he's looked poor, first it was his fitness because he spent all summer trying to get a move instead of training! Should he have lost the captaincy? Yes he's not a captain it does take a rocket scientist to see that! Should he not take all the corners and free kicks? No he shouldn't because 90% his delivery is awful!
He clearly has talent but this is his big chance to prove he can play at this level, he should be absolutely busting a gut to prove he is the world class player he says he is! Unfortunately it looks like he may not be able to play at this level!Comment

Ric, you make very valid points as does Robbo.
It really is a confidence thing.
After Bothroyds performance Sunday , He deserves to start and Adel really needs to get his head together and start playing with the freedom he did last season.
As for reasoning with Mason, you simply cannot when such a feeble being HATES a player so much.
Remember if he had his way, last season Adel would have been dropped most big games (That he ended up winning us) and also sold.
I held my hands up about Derry , and Barton slowly seems to be turning it around, but you will never get "Thrush" to do the same with Adel.Comment

Also i think you'll find that you are the sad individual who starts threads on here everytime you get the smallest judgement anywhere near right, then take a pop at as you put it "The clever ones" on here.

This season was always going to be a tough one for Taarabt. Last year he was a big fish in a small pond, the moment some genuine Premiership players arrived things changed not just for Taarabt but for the whole squad.
The likes of Tommy Smith, Bradley Orr, Clint Hill and Matt Connolly have gone from regulars to squad players because the bar has been raised. By the same token, Taarabt could not have expected to keep the captaincy. He sulks, he doesn't train properly and he behaves like a child a lot of the time. You just can't have that at this level, a captain should be somebody the squad looks up to.
I am extremely grateful for what Taarabt did last season but at the moment he is his own worst enemy. He sulked all summer then came back overweight. He's been given every opportunity to regain his fitness and form but he just doesn't look bothered.
The fact is he has the prefect opportunity either to knuckle down and do well for QPR, or put himself in the shop window but he's doing neither.
To point the finger at Warnock is way off the mark. Warnock did a great job of managing him last season but there comes a point when you need to just say, you're a professional footballer, now step up to the mark.
For me we should leave him on the bench for a few games. If he responds well then fine, if not, ta ta in January!Comment
