Personally looking at our team sheet compared to theirs I was thinking how many can we keep it down to yet we dug in, battled, fought & got what we deserved.

But then I realised that this was Chelsea, an alleged top 10 european team and the value of any one of 6 of their players was the same value as our entire squad, so this was a massive result imo.

We won ugly. We'll create more chances when we play lesser teams. they still had a quality back 4 to penetrate even with 9 men

i thought we looked good defensively, back 4 all did good, fragile in midfield, Barton and Faurlin were OK, but SWP, Adel, Smith, Mackie quite poor, and weak up front, HH did well but was too isolated.

yep agree we're a long way away from being able to buy a mata, sturridge or torres in terms of money, wages or attracting them but we've spent a lot of cash in the last week of the deadline too...

I thought SWP was ok , he was the only player really having a go at them all game. Adel was shite but in a way won us the game. It was his killer pass to SWP that got bosingwa sent off and drogba's tackle on him that the 2nd red too, so without out him it would have been 11 on 11. other than that though he was shite

Today we started with 7 players who got us promoted and looked the better side and went 1 up with 11 men.

9 men so what , the record books will show QPR 1 Chelsea 0, I thought we were poor in the second half but whilst we struggled on the pitch at times the fans kept the team going.

We haven't been playing well of late and if ever we needed a win that was it and we got it.

To be fair, the atmosphere must have got to our players too, and maybe we should have kept the ball and more in the 2nd half, & made them work much harder to get the ball back -
But not half as much as it affected them. They lost their cool, they got rattled. & they paid the price.

We won. And tonight that's really all I care about.
