Most people, probably all people, have been overchanged or undercharged and not owned up, I know I have.

I tend to own up now and pay the correct amount, but that's just me, I'm not going to judge others that don't.

I do find the sense of self satisfaction by some that they have got one over on the club a little distasteful, but ditto the self righteousness from others.

Anyway, all in all, no big deal. Problem has been rectified. I just hope that the person responsible doesn't lose their job or anything drastic like that.

At the end of the day a mistake has been made, and I've probably made a mistake in being gullible enough to believe free memberships were offered in the first place. As for myself trying to fleece the club I've supported most of my life, I feel infuriated by your assumption and the others' on this post. I will happily let the club keep my £3.50 if it is a mistake. As for the mistake happening in the first place then that is not my responsibility, I took up what looked like a legitimate offer.... end of.

All those people trying to fleece the club will be labelled 'looters', and will be arrested and taken to an overnight court session and will be remanded, with the distinct possibility of lengthy prison sentences. So please feel free to make your ST's and membership cards available to other users as you won't be needing them for a while.

Clearly a mistake has been made. Whilst some will no doubt have seen it as an opportunity to get one over on the club and save a few bob, others will genuinely have misjudged the situation. I'm sure once the powers that be know what has happened and why, a satisfactory outcome will be achieved.

Although, and I apologise if my lack of research makes me incorrect on this, but the very idea that any fan should have to stump up approx. £40 in order to be in with a chance of buying a ticket, doesn't sit at all well with me. Irrespective of whose idea it was.
