Adel needs dropping to the bench until his form/fitness improves. If he is stroppy over the failed transfer to psg and slacking, he should be given a personal trainer, and preferably an ex-marine type. He is under contract and needs to respect it and grow up. Just my opinion. F**king diva. He's too good potentially to lose to his own self worshipping.

Agreed. It actually might take a bit of pressure off him to not be the sole focus of attention, and the player expected to be the magic ingredient every week. Could do him good to just be part of the team, and not special' anymore.

its not the quality....will be interesting how to balance such interesting personalitys in the same squad/team/pitch/dressing room. fancy neil to become the great messiah again. two volatile people to prepare for a long season wont be easy imo. sure he's a happier man today.

I love the way we have fans that like to continuosly dig at players that have done agreat job for us.

Adel will be fine. he doesn't pass because he is surrounded by poor players 70% of the time. We would not have got up without him.

Maybe you should ask how Joey will improve Adel's game - becasue good players really shine when they have good players around them.

I think you are a bit deluded if you actaully think that's the reason he doesn't pass. What about the countless times he's wide at an acute angle and shoots when there's 1 or 2 players in the six yard box waiting to tap it into an open goal if he just lays off a simple square ball.... Do you honestly think he chooses to shoot because he thinks our players are not good enough to convert a pass into a goal in that situation....? A 10 year old would be ridiculed if they missed from there, so i think CCC players should be fine (except for Hulse of course!)

That's one example, but there are many. He is a GREEDY player that is it, and it won't change when we have better players. He hardly passed the ball when he had brief appearences for Spurs with much better players, which is one reason he was allowed to leave.

What will change is there will be more people with the balls to have a go at him when required and he may start to realise he's no longer the only big fish in the pond, and that "may" make him think twice on occasion, which is a good thing. If he does start to pass more he could become a truly great player.

He is also petulant and childish and doesn;t like it when things don;t go his way, so i'm sure he will be telling his agent to ask for more money and when he doesn't get it, will sulk a bit which may or may not affect his game. I actually think he'll perform regardless, but he's the sort of person who could get distracted and let it hinder his game..... I'm sure they'll manage him well though and say if he performs in the prem they will reward him with an improved contract.
