Just about to post the same thing... oh well lets just have some patience - 24 hours ago a deal for Joey Barton never seemed on and a week ago a deal for QPR looked unlikely so let's wait and see what happens.

I think the twittering from joey is a cry for help. He either wants newcastle to love him again or he want a bigger club to come in for him and is using us for publicity
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Sorry to reply the same message on two threads and maybe you are right but why would McKay say this:

After Queens Park Rangers got promoted Neil Warnock called me and asked me the situation with Joey and of course when Joey was rewarded with a free transfer by Newcastle he came on right away," McKay told Sky Sports News.

"Joey spoke to (chief executive) Phil Beard and spoke to Tony Fernandes, via phone and liked what he had to say and I am sure there is going to be a few more signings for Queens Park Rangers.

"Obviously it is a big wrench for Joey [to leave Newcastle] as he loved it up there and obviously he will miss all the supporters and all his team-mates.

"Time moves on, you just have to move on. Newcastle have got their plans and Joey has got his.

"Joey is very confident he can do very, very well for Queens Park Rangers I think he is a top signing for them."

I thought it was super quick typing but you have a point. I guess I prefer the cautious approach

In football things change in the very last minute. In this case it seems like it obviously did.

If the deal was not practically done the agent would be emphasising that encouraging more bids from suitors, this is not the case.

As for Warnock saying its not signed yet he could well be telling pork pies.
