I wanted a new car so this week went to look at the one I wanted - the new Mercedes SL 65 AMG Black Series. Thing is I really wanted it but because the guy in the showroom wanted over 30K for the extras, on top of the £135K price tag, I decided that he was taking the pish because he knew I wanted it. He wouldn't be realistic in his demands so I didn't do the deal.
Routledge may have been wanted, on the basis of the terms previously discussed before he returned to Newcastle, indeeed, it may have been perceived to be a good deal, but if the player wants to come and the club want him to as well, a deal can be done - unless someone gets a bit too greedy and all of a sudden the deal doesn't represent good value for money.

yesterday i really fancied some fruit gums so went next door to Martins Newsagent to buy some..HOWEVER!!!!!...the offer of a pound a box had ended and they were now £1.69 !!!!!

still bought them tho cos i really wanted some fruit gums and whats 69p to me?

I find it funny how posters with only a few posts don't seem to be allowed an opinion. Surely Morris with your number of posts you must of started with post No.1 at some point? or is there an ITK box we should tick when we sign up to this forum, which I believe is for rumour, debate and opinion. You have missed the point entirely. He was telling me to give it rest, thus indicating I should only post what he wants me to post?

Coming from someone who obviously doesn't use the MB very much I found that quite funny.

If he had replied to my post with a sensible counter argument then that would of been fine.

If the pound a box offer was a discount deal and you missed it but still bought them for the true £1.69 price then fine because you wanted them and knew that £1.69 was the true value.
If, when you went to pay that value and the shop keeper said - ah, Mr V Block you really want these gums and they would quite like to sit in your pocket, so I now want £2.50 for them - even you, with your devil may care "what's 69p" attitude would say phark off you are taking the phish - or are you going to say - fine you take it out of me big time and yeah ok what's 89p to me
