But it wont be 90k a week on a loan, and ill say again he needs football and he needs matches and i think here would be ideal because for me he walks into the team, injuries are a problem, but you have to take a risk on quality like him.Comment

Mmmm tough one this because Joe Cole before his injury at Chelsea was class, but the Joe Cole that returned was a poorer mans version, you just need to look at what he has done at Liverpool last year.............nothing.
We do need cover for Adel and he could be a good addtion but not sure were this leaves Buz as he has looked great in pre season, but in terms of replacing the other players i dont think you can compare as they offer different services to the team, and we need a good balance (I think the right is between smith and dyer).
As far as funding him, if Liverpool are not going to have him in their squad and we agree to pay £25k a week of his wage then why wouldnt they loan him out, as this would say them anything from 1/2 to a 1 Million a year and any good business would take this (and it fits in our wage bracket). Unlike Hull who are trying to force Bullard out, i think Liverpool would be open to a 6 month to a season long loan.
Again this could depend on the new owner as when he comes in he will want to make a statement by showing support for Warnock and this would be a very high profile signing which woulod automaticly result in the fans taking him to their hearts (great publicity stunt too for his ego).
Could happen .....Last edited by Bigears; 01-08-2011, 02:58 PM.One for all.... and all for oneComment

I certainly don't want Joe Cole if we end up breaking the bank and rubbing everyone else in the squad the wrong way by paying him loads more than them.
He was always a luxury player, and never as good as he thouhgt he was.
Yes he had a great spell 5 years ago during world cup and that period, but has done next to nothing since.
Put it this way, last year Liverpool had one of their worst sides ever performing so badly it was unthinkable at times, and yet he still couldn't force his way into the team for most games.
If we have that sort of money made available, we could do far better spending it in other areas.Comment

Yeah.
As long as we stick to free signings from The Championship, our ST prices should remain low.

Joe Cole to Make QPR Switch
Joe Cole is being heavily linked with a move to QPR as he looks to re-establish himself as a first team footballer in the Premier League…again. Reports suggest a loan deal could be agreed in the coming days, although the Reds would prefer to let the player go on a permanent basis if possible. Liverpool are keen to reduce their wage load to finance further summer signings, and shifting Cole would free up around £90k per week to put towards Kenny Dalglish’s transfer kitty. However, there are few clubs who could afford such sums meaning John Henry may have to fork out some form of compensation or contribution in order to allow the player to move on. The future of QPR captain Adel Taarabt remains in doubt and some sources are even suggesting that the Moroccan could be involved in a swap deal with the ex Chelsea star. However, signing Cole on a permanent basis would be a risky strategy for a newly promoted club as they simply could not afford to be lumbered with him should they go back down. A loan move looks the most viable option for a player who is thought to be desperate to return to London, but with the Hoops only willing to shell out around half of the 29-year-old’s wages, it remains to be seen whether or not a conclusion can be reached. Spurs are also keen on bringng Cole back down south, but are yet to make an offer as Harry Redknapp sticks to his tactic of leaving it late in order to secure a cheaper deal.Comment

You know what I mean... Break the bank big time and it causes trouble...I we were signing a class act I could see it but not somebody who wil just run around like a headless chicken and getting injured at the same time. I've said if it was right price I'd take him. We all know we are not getting bankrolled by the owners so where is this money going to come from??Comment

Any swap deal with Adel forget it, and i dont think we should pay anymore than our wage structure, he fits in with us or bugger off is my veiw, as anything more will start upsetting the dressing room. One for all.... and all for oneComment
