What with all your name calling etc Half empty, please take note as you could learn so much from someone like stan.
What doesnt make sense about what i've put so far? And is is only common sense because he agree's with your opinion that Connolly shouldnt be sold?

You have obviously taken offense to being called a cretin, but unfortunately you tried to rubbish my opinion by making assumptions on me, despite knowing anything about me. Why would I rate Jimmy Smith? because im not joining the "Mancienne wasnt even that good now he doesnt play for us" bandwagon? Because I dared to play down Connolly as not being a 5 Million rated Prem quality player? What does Jimmy Smith have to do with anything? Nothing, hence why I called you a cretin. Get over it.

In any case im not sure why people are worrying so much when we could potentially get around 2 million for the sale of Delaney and Hall!!

It is no suprise that prem teams are looking at him as he is a quality versatile player and if we sold we would have to sign at least 2 players to cover his loss!!;D
Oh I don't know if anyone else really analyses games but I think you will find he sometimes struggles at set pieces and lapses of concetration means he loses his man.
One of the best players at the club though without a doubt.

I would take it like a shot, I like connely he is good and versatile but we are not too bad on defenders and if transfer budged could get you 2 promotion winning strikers

    Not too bad on Defenders?

    I don't agree.

    Connolly - very good
    Gorkss - very good
    Ramage ok
    Delaney ok
Stewart hit and miss. Look at some of his howlers in recent seasons. Last season he was wholly or partially at fault for at least 5 goals. Burnley home and cup, Norwich, Doncaster, Wolves.
Hall - not really as good as we thought he would be, and certainly not worth his 18,000(?) a week pay.

If Connolly left, I think QPR's defence would suffer.

I am sure that Arsenal have a sell-on clause, and QPR would probably squander the remainder on some average players and a worse defender. The
£5M fee - minus the sell on clause - wouldn't be of much use, if it meant another mid-table season.

We have Stewart throwing in a few we don't want to add MM to that list.
Im not here to praise Mancienne. I compaired Connolly to MM as they are both similar in how they play, age, and obviously QPR fans are going to compaire the 2. My initial argument, which now seems all but a disant memory thanks to being distracted, is that Connolly is being over hyped by our fans and whilst a solid player, is no way worth 5 Million.

People can hark on about Connolly being better than Mancienne all they want are are certainly intitled to their opinion. In black and white however, Mancienne has already accomplished so much more than Connolly, that it isnt fair on Connolly to be constantly compaired to him.

And you say my argument is invalid because I cant recall every game Mancienne had a screamer for us, well I've given oe off the top of my head but am yet to remember or be reminded of a game where Connolly has had a brilliant game for us, not decent, not solid, but briliant.

I await a list of games to be given as examples.

At CB more often than not, yes he did. Infact I gave an example of when Mancienne played at CB and had the whole STADIUM in awe of his game at Bristol City away. Im not the best for remembering 1 off games in detail, but im sure theres more. Mancienne only started to look squiffy when played at RB, which is the same as Connolly.

Winalotto has summed it up for me, both are reliable and versatile, but for me, Connolly is yet to have an OUTSTANDING game for us, whereas Mancienne did.

I didnt rate Jimmy Smith whatsoever for the cretin whos decided to put words into my mouth.

5 million, you have to take that sort of money.

Club can keep 1m and spend 4m on two quality players.

I do feel however that there is a slight bias towards Connolly from alot of people because he DOES play for us, has rarely had a bad game, and is of similar age ro Mancienne. And as i've stated before I DO like Connolly and rate him as a solid player. But, as we tend to do with any half decent youngster we have, I think our fans are going a little bit overboard with some of there comments regarding him.

Connolly is Not worth 5 million, and is yet to really have an outstanding display at CB. Solid? YES, but I cant remember a game last season where Connolly had a striker in his pocket to the degree that he made said striker look absolutely useless. Again Im open for people to give me examples of when he HAS done this as i may just have a short term memory!
    & Mancienne did? haha
