Clean sheets-outstanding but we also need to score goals, dunno if you noticed but Cardiff won again thats just 2 points between us now, Warnock being able to change our front 2 in the last 4 games could of reaped rewards.

As I said no complaints from me would just like to see the pressure off of Mackie & Helguson thats all.

Don't you get the point that's being made kit? That Mackie & Helguson can not do it every single week. Everyone and their dog knows we needed to bring in a striker on loan when it came out that Hulse would be unfit til at least November.

i think we are going through a bad patch ,however the defence is so good we are still picking up the points. Do feel we should start with smith now up front to give the team a bit of a facelift.

Warnock has always brought Smith on for a midfielder so don't know if he sees him as a front man? Wouldn't mind seeing him starting though to be honest.

Helguson & Mackie must be shattered after so many club & INTL games.

Couldn't be more chilled just think its pointless posting identical posts ie; we are top lets enjoy it... we all know that we're not dumb. Our strikers maybe tired? maybe suffering a little dip in form? Ever thought about that? No kit just wants to repeat we are top lets enjoy it...

Personally I want us to kick on & keep picking up points not stumble along with others catching us.

We'd have to change the formation that's got us this far to accommodate another striker - Helguson's there as the pivot for our attacking midfielders and it's them that have been a little off colour these past few games. It's just not as simple as lumping another striker up top, cos if we moved to 4-4-2 we'd fall all to bits. (Derry and Faurlin would be too static in the middle; Mackie, Taarabt, and Ephraim consdierably weaker played as wingers.)

Personally I would like to see Smith on sooner or even given a start ahead of Ephraim. Hulse is terrific back up to Helgo but if he's out any longer then maybe a month's loan of someone is in order.

Excellent post & you are right its not as easy as just lumping someone up front. I see Helguson as a patched up war horse & Mackie a Duracell bunny who uses unbelievable amounts of energy every game so think the pair need a rest or at least alternate them with another GOOD front man.
