    Whats your verdict?
Apart from that run in the first half, Connolly was woeful. Easily brushed aside and left all that hard work to Hall.

Connolly had and assist for German, gave Clarke a golden chance to score and had a goal dissallowed.

He was the only player who looked half decent tonight. He won every header aswell. If you werent there dont comment.

If you went on Saturday you would have noticed that Gorkss hardly won any headers and his passing was shocking at best.

The passing that set up the goal?

The pass that put Clarke through?

Where was he out of position?

1st goal Derry's fault, 2nd goal came from right back/ right cente back (Orr or Hall) and 3rd goal came from there left back running the length of the pitch (Orr not closing down)

I was watching him and he didnt win a header in the 1st half and very few in the 2nd.

Every time he got the ball it was punted up field 1st time.

He defended well as he always does diving in front of the ball for blocks and getting stuck in but a bit of calmness on the ball was needed at times

Perhaps it was the way that many on here said he was brilliant, or that he was our best defender? Or the fact he managed to con his way to the POTY award?

As I always said, he had great strength and aerial ability, and even used to possess pace up until last season, but the fact he's as thick as QBP's skin made him one of the worst defenders in the league. Truely terrible and a complete liability. Just my opinion, of course, but hexwas certainly over rated by many on here mate.

The fact that many were not happy about him leaving for Bristol City should tell you all you need to know about how poor the rest of our CB's are bar Gorkss.

The funny thing is, not many did seem bothered when he left. Only a handful of posters, including yourself were disappointed mate.

By the way, as much as I like Gorkss, I also feel he's massively over rated. Like Stewart, he's emmence when he's on form, but he does have a tendancy to go missing and get caught out. He dwells too often and loves to header the ball upwards, meaning he has to challenge for it a second time. Don't get me wrong, I'm not putting him down there with Stewart as he's far better, but he's not as good as some make out.

I suppose I see in MC, what you see in KG mate. Both aren't perfect, but they both have great CB attributes as well. Very frustrating in all honesty.

I reckon a few of u guys need to get down to specsavers... Connolly was not only our best defender tonight but also our biggest threat going forward with his passing. I am amazed with some peoples comments.

Problem is Hall will always be **** to some and Connolly will always be great, the truth lies somewhere in the middle.

Got to say i am mystified why hall is captain, would like Gorkks and Ramage, who looked good at centre half back end of last season, eventually see Gorkks and Connolly as number 1 partnership.

Would like a couple of young midfielders, says Rowlands only player to push for 1st team. Says we are well short in strength in depth.

And NW indeed showed the board that our depth isn't good enough for beating a team like Vale at home.. Should have opened a few pair of eyes if they weren't open already.

Thought first goal might have been offside, second was a deflection, and third was not held by the keeper.
