there is a serious lack of good strikers available and the ones that are, either their club or the player themselves are playing hard to get.
but you can bet your last pound he will bring in a striker that is better than we have and who suits his winged approach.

Sharp is an out and out striker, Mackie is not.

But like Simpson last season, he is not big enough to hold the ball up and therefore would not suit a 3 man attack. Mackie has been played as part of a 3 man attack by NW but we still need the lead man. Clarke can do it but probably woon't score the goals that are also required. This cuts down the number of players that NW is targeting, Derbyshire, Roberts, Hesslelink, Henderson, Hulse, Stead are the type we need but the quality ones are hard to get.

everyone he has brought is his type of player, he has brought just who he wants to imho, and will continue to do so till his cup filleth over..... and he has also brought enough for promotion as well when the striker arrives (and hopefully taarabt)

i dont know anything, its just my opinion cos i believe the board and i believe the manager, and i am more than happy with the purchases and noises being made so far this pre season. extremely happy.

well said mate. We have makings of decent side, we're looking solid at the back, pretty good centre mid, we just need a striker and one winger and we'll be in frame for playoffs. Mcanuff would be great...any chance ebanks-blake?

Agree mate. Appreciate that people want to us to splash some cash because of our owners. But we have spent some cash whilst others are more worried about losing their best players and we have (in my view) the best manager in the league! Come on!!
