Why is it, we want Lopez? I keep hearing how good we think he is, based on one free kick at home to Bristol City

Because we like signing players who have failed medicals.

Think we should sign him, always wants the ball and has very good range of passing + vision. Would have been ideal as the anchor player in PS's diamond formation i think

But he did fail a medical a month before he came to QPR:horror::horror:

yet was fit enough to play 10 games in 8 weeks for us....

whereas Helguson who youve been told to assure everyone definately passed a medical was only fit to play 20 times in 6 months....

One thing I would suggest is that you shouldn't believe everything you read on Wikipedia, especially if there is no citation.

There was a mention that there might have been a slight problem with his medical in the Birmingham Post (then again there was mention in a couple of papers that HH had failed a medical too :devil: )

I am sure that when we signed him he would have had a medical, unless of course you are suggesting that we would sign a player who had failed a medical.......

No based on the fact that he is a better player than Rowlands, Legiertwood, Mahon, Miller etc

Interesting how you consider Routledge a better player Taarabt as well...in the words of PS he is a Premiership player.

Maybe if you concentrated on the actual game instead of banging your drum goading the opposition fans you'd actually see Lopez is one of the best midfielders this club has had since we got relegated from the PL.

He is better than anyone else we have in that position, able to break up play and actually pass the ball in an intelligent manner. Probably why we released him ;)

His corners were not up to much but we have other players to take them.

So, you say he actually failed a medical... Where are you getting that from?

Do you believe everything you read on Wikipedia even without a citation? Who is your source that HH passed his? Are we supposed to blindly believe you on that without any evidence?

Even ignoring the free kick, Lopez looked better than our other CM's -- more intelligence, vision, ability to see what was needed and to do that -- despite having not played since LAST season (2007-8) and no fully match fit.
Equally comfortable attacking or defending.
Certainly better than Legs, whose distribution continues to be 90% awful.

Other than the fabled 'medical' issue, it would be great to sign him -- he made a noticeable difference in the games he played (except Norwich, in which he looked very unfit, and probably at that stage, was).

And as I said, nothing to do with THE goal.

to be fair, it was in the Birmingham Post and he failed when trialed at Portsmouth under redknapp (pretty sure at Portsmouth)
