We didn't volunteer to go into Admin, you know that?

We were in debt, because we didn't own our ground. Jordan ****ed up, and told us he owned the ground, when he didn't.

We were paying about £2 Million of rent every season for it.

Eventually, Jordan was falling behind on payments, so he took out a loan from a company called Agilo (The same one that put Land of Leather out of business). This company were actually ruthless loan sharks, and put us into administration when they were worried that they wouldn't get it all back.

In fact, our academy kept us alive during administration. Without it, we'd never have been able to sell our most valuable player; and the club would have folded months before it was saved.

We no longer need to sell. GET IT INTO YOUR HEADS![/QUOTE]

    You DO NEED to sell.

You always DID NEED to sell.

The problem is that you DIDN'T SELL.

Hence why you keep going into ADMINISTRATION.

If you had sold players and paid your bills like most other clubs do, then apart from making life easier for your unfortunate creditors who admittedly were somewhat foolish to allow a club like Crystal Palace credit, then you would not have gone into administration, and could have held your heads high, albeit from a lower division which is actually the one you would be most suited to based upon your history and financial status.

Even to this day, you are relying on getting the ground "on the cheap" at the expense of others. How you can have any pride in anything at all relating to your club bemuses me completely.

No, we set him up for it.

In the same way we are setting Clyne up for it. Obviously, he will hit a wall as to how far he can develop in the Championship (as Cole did). That is when he will need to move. For Clyne, that wall will probably be next season. After that, he'll leave for the Premiership, but he won't go for anything like £1.25 million.

Sky Sports valued him at £4 million for his ability NOW. They valued him as potentially worth £18 million.

You might want to watch how he kept Ashley Young completely in his pocket over BOTH fa-cup games.

Seriously. Are you incapable of understanding anything?

£5 Million for a young defender who is currently with england u-19's, who will almost certainly play for the England full team.

That would be a bargain for Birmingham.

When you consider the two defenders who left the Championship a while ago for £9m in total, you can put Clyne's potential into perspective.

Cashley did **** all before he came to us. We actually showed how good he was.

Neil Warnock, in fact, compared Clyne to Cole.

Speroni won't go, because he is REFUSING TO SPEAK TO OTHER CLUBS. He cannot leave, if he won't agree to go!

Ambrose won't go, because he loves Palace. If a Premiership club comes calling; he may well go. But not QPR.

Birmingham have put in a disgraceful bid of £1.25 million for Clyne. George Burley basically told them to f*ck off. They may well buy him, but they will be spending around £5million if they really want to get him

WE HAVE NO NEED TO SELL. WE WILL NOT SELL, AND IF WE DO, IT WILL BE TO IMPROVE THE SQUAD.

You have a serious case of QPR-Syndrome. Not every chairman feels the need to lie to the fans.

Im not an expert on it but im sure that if you talk to nodge who posts on this board he will explain it fully
The only reason we got so little for Moses was administration; you know that.

He would have gone for three times as much, if at all, if we weren't so badly in need of the money.

It's unfortunate that his sale was necessary. He would have sold for a massive amount.

They also have to remember, Burly done well at ipswich and southampton, but at those clubs he had a lot of money to spend, he spunked southamptons money away and what happened.

He wont have nowhere near that sort of dosh at palarse, plus didn't have a very good time as a national manager did he.

Will be interesting to see how he does with frees and loans.

Fitz Hall is a great defender. When we were in the Premiership, he was a regular. Unfortunately, your club don't have the "ambition" or "potential" to use him properly.

I see you mention clyne in that list, does he actually play? I was under the impression that he was Butterfields backup. If this is correct, then why isnt danny in the list?

Clyne is not danny's backup. Danny has been released, he's too old. He's been a great servant, especially the 6 min perfect hattrick against Wolves last season. Clyne wasn't riskable, because at the end of last season, we didn't know if he would need to be sold to keep the club afloat. It may well have come to the point where it would be needed to sell him, to postpone the club's demise.

Thankfully, we're now fine, and out of the fire. This means that Clyne can play again, because we're not going to, and we don't need to, sell him.

If we are talking about prospects we have our very own delap in Josh parker who is very versatile and knows where the goal is. And not to forget German who could be a rough gem. Jamie Mackie can go on the list aswell, because he was wanted by several teams (including WBA, Derby and Sheffield united) which shows that if he is wanted by a team that has just got promoted then he cant be bad either. If you think about it we have a far better squad then you do, without your academy that is running your club into the ground.
Our academy isn't running our club into the ground. Our academy and youth programme has produced some phenomenal players. We have a knack of bringing in talent, and nurturing players to achieve their potential.

    E.g. Victor Moses.
E.g. Andy Johnson. Scored about 20 goals in 200 games before 2002. Came to Palace, scored 34 goals a season later, fired us into the Prem. Scored 24 goals in the prem. 2nd Top Scorer, behind Henry with 25.
E.g. John Bostock (robbed by Tottenham, now lounging in their youth team)
E.g. Ashley Cole - Sent out on loan to us to gain experience. We transformed him, and turned him into a great player.
E.g. Nathaniel Clyne - Wanted by Villa (not surprising, he marked Ashley young completely out of both FA cup games) and Wolves. Neil Warnock himself said that he was England-bound.
E.g. Julian Speroni - Rescued him from Dundee. Now the best keeper in the division. Neil Warnock isn't bothering bidding for him, because he said that "Julian should easily be in the Premiership now". Instead, he's opted to stay with us.

Mate im telling you from experience, you will sell those players, prob 3 out of the 4, and what ever you get for them you will not invest it all back into the playing squad.
Whatever crap your owners are telling you and you are believing, you will sell danns and get in a cheap replacement, same with ambrose.
Your in for a hard season, burley wont do you any favours.....I dont think QPR will storm this league mate, but we are in a much stronger position then you, just my opinion but our squad is substantially stronger than yours and more signings on the way, which fingers crossed will giv us a little more cutting edge.
I'm not on the wind up just my opinion regarding what i think will happen at palace this year as i believe you need to restructure and you need to balance the books. Hence why I dont think your as good as QPR are atm.
