Rest assured, this isn't meant as a dig, but your signings have hardly been encouraging for a promotion chasing side. You've signed two players from us, but they definitely weren't the two players you wanted (the reaction from this board certainly showed that). Instead of Ambrose and Speroni/Clyne, you got Hill and Derry (who probably would've been released this season anyway).

We've signed some good players, and George Burley is making good use of his Scottish contacts to bring in some SPL prospects. Also, we're close to agreeing a deal for a "mystery Premier League striker", says Burley.
Our squad is very thin, but it was thin last season. Burley says 4/5 more are coming in, some on frees, some with fees attached.

I'm not sure why so many people on your board think we'll struggle badly next season. After all, our first 11 at the moment looks a fair bit better than yours does. However, you have strength in depth, which we don't have yet (probably will do come Leicester though).

He's playing well, and loves it at Palace, which is why he's not going to QPR.

Almost every QPR fan would have loved Speroni, rather than Kenny to come to QPR. Cerny is second choice; you can't say that he's anywhere near Speroni's standard.

Typical holmsdale blinkered palarse fan, Buzz has been scoring freekicks as good if not better over three seasons he's been here (not a one off season).

Yes Speroni is a good keeper, yes we would have prob taken him, but we got Kenny and i'm happy with him, you still didn't answer my question of how many golden gloves has Speroni won.

Plus if Speroni is as good as you say he is, why is he still at your struggling club and not in the prem.

Connor Wickham for Ipswich was going for £9 Million. NINE. He's not even that good. Moses would have gone for 13/14 Million by that valuation, Clyne similarly.

Clearly you know nothing about where Moses played for us. He always played up front, or just behind the striker. He was rarely played on the wing.

Perhaps part of this argument is based on a misunderstanding. I am sure Beagle boy meant three quarters of a million (by his "3/4") and not three or four as some have misunderstood him. That would just be stupid when you think about it.

I would think the 750k is about right isn't it. Bit overpriced for a kiddie but there you go in today's market. Of course we have players that have already demanded more than that so there is no argument. Ipso facto the surrey contingent can shut up and we can leave them alone.

Clyne is being linked strongly with a move to the Premier League. If this happens, he'll go for around 3/4 million, and he's potentially worth four times that. Can you honestly say that without your money, ANY player in your team would be valued at anywhere near that much?

Ambrose has a better long shot, the best set pieces in the League, he can play up front, in the centre or on the wing. He's similar to Peter Whittingham, and scored 20 goals last year. Are you honestly suggesting Rowlands could ever do that?

Anyone who saw Lee play consistently last season will know he is a great striker. He doesn't score many, but he holds the ball up brilliantly, and is great in the air.

Speroni is better than Kenny. The only reason you signed Kenny, was because Julian is in Argentina, and wasn't coming back until asked to, because he didn't want a move.

You're aiming higher than us, while we're quietly confident. You're aiming so high, it's almost inevitable that you will fall short yet again.

You won't be playing with belief and passion if results don't go your way. Let's face it, Warnock doesn't get his teams playing good football. Look at what he did with us last season. We had a great squad, probably looking for play-offs with the aim of promotion (without spending money in years). Even with a squad like that, with Moses, Fonté, Ambrose, Sears (useless under Warnock), etc. we didn't play the football we were capable of.

Trust me, you are getting too big for your boots. Money doesn't make a football club.

We won't be worrying about whether George is sober or not (he is, by the way), because that's behind him. People make mistakes. George is a great manager, and he gets his teams playing fast, attacking, passing football.

Because we didn't know whether we'd need to sell him or not. It may have been the case where his sale was needed to keep the club afloat, similar to Moses was.

Eagle got to say Adam Barrett is a poor signing and i should know as i had a season tckt at Sarfend last season.Hes a real hot head so getting booked is a reg ocurence so will miss plenty of games.And hes just not that good though will give a 100% of what abbility he does have.

Sounds similar to Clint Hill. He's not our best signing, but then again, he's a squad player.
