Great stuff! The 4pt deduction for next season is good too. I suspect that is in place in case the twerps try to appeal... the appeal would find that 4pts was too soft and up it to 20pts.

I reckon they definitely must have spied on us too … I can’t think of any other explanation for the two results against us!!

They could of sent 3 blind mice to spy on us and still won

Nice bit of counter-espionage on the part of Boro identifying the culprit from a Soton website. EFL working to resolve any appeals today. At least it should give rise to some interesting chants against Soton next season from just about every away fixture:

"Are you watching in the tree?...."

I`m so glad that wasn`t us. However, setting our team more up against the opposition wouldn`t go amiss...

Not sure why there is a need to spy.

Every team should know how other teams tend to set-up, the strengths of key players and potential injuries.

I would be interested to know what they gained from this spying??

I heard on the news that their players are thinking of suing the club for lost premiership earnings. There was no guarantee they would have been promoted, so this is going to get very messy. Their sponsors will be fuming too!!

They could be right up against it next season and players may want out.

Imagine it was us and not Boro and the final was in Newcastle on Saturday.... you got two days to sort yer ticket and travel out (on a bank holiday weekend). Absolute effing shambles!

The players dont have long to work off their newly found beer bellies too!! Joking aside, their fitness levels will be way off.....

Agreed. Also feel sorry for the Soton supporters being trawled around in an end of season roller coaster ride of contrasting emotions. I would have felt the same way had a harsher verdict been issued against us at the end of the 2010/11 season.

The definition of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory!

The most ridiculous thing to have done. you have to feel for the Southampton fans - i have a few southampton friends and they all seem to be livid not with the punishment , although harsh but with the club.

will be interesting to see what happens next. The manager has to go surely and i am sure al to of the players will go too.

Could be tough for them next season.
