  • Kolli

Im struggling to understand why the lad cant get a regular game because he seems like a decent finisher to me. Maybe a bit on the lazy side but who cares if your fresh to put a ball away.

If Burrell goes, will Kolli step up, but there again Benni seems ahead of him at the moment.

Even if Burrell goes, I think Kolli will too. He just doesnt seem to fit in?

    Any differing views on him?

Kolli has been randomly going AWOL for 3 years. He had ample opportunity to stake a claim to being a 1st team regular this season but hasn't grasped it. I'm a big fan of his but I'm beginning to think he needs to move on for everybody's sake, he can't stay here but remain a peripheral figure all the time - it's a waste of his talent and potential.

I'm not convinced Bennie is Championship ready yet.

We need to nail down a position/role for Bennie. He clearly ain't a striker so it doesn't do him or the club any good sticking him up front on his jacksy, indeed, it could be harmful and detrimental to his development. I'd like to see him in central midfield instead of Morgan and let them fight it out for the jersey.

I think most outfield positions require specialists in the relevant area. I'm getting fed-up with the club having a belief in "utility players" who can play anywhere. It just doesn't work and we end up lashing square pegs in round holes and getting disjointed performances.

I do have a feeling Kolli will go this summer, shame as I really rate him and think he is the best natural finisher we have but just can’t get a proper run in the team for whatever reason so probably better for his career to be elsewhere.

Personally I think there is more financial sense in taking a lower upfront fee and a big sell on (50%), convinced he will go for big money within the next 2-3 years.

Not worked out for Kolli. Three years, currently fourth choice striker. Agree with comments, move best option for him.

I can’t believe people want Kolli to go

no one else in the team can score the type of goals he scores.

he hits the ball so early that the keeper is very rarely set

the goals he scored against Portsmouth are prime examples - Bennie had similar situations against Derby and was always looking for that extra touch or to pass to a team mate

Don't think anybody is questioning his talent or potential but his availability for selection is a complete lottery. There's too much noise/enigma surrounding him - he should be like Bennie or Morgan: always ready and available when needed, not randomly missing for unclear or unspecified reasons Hasn't he been missing from the August team photo call TWO years in succession now.... it's just plain odd in my view.

One last thing, I don't want to go off at a tangent but maybe JS hasn't handled him well? Taarabt was a total maniac and nutcase but Warnock somehow got him focussed and engaged. Players should adapt to the ethos and culture of the gaffer BUT there has to be a bit of "bend" from the manager too. I'm not saying young Kolli is nuts or is as talented as Adel but you get my drift hopefully.

Why do we think he's not always around and available? Because he's not in a group photo? Wasn't he on the sub bench for the last few games and the Gaffer went with Bennie instead?

I'm judging him on 3 years, not 3 weeks...

Kolli is a decent finisher and has a good strike on him but been around the first team for 3 years now and is'nt consistent ,fit and is a bit lazy , so not bothered if he goes. Prefer him over Bennie though.
