  • Are we safe now?

This Leicester win makes us 11 points clear with only 8 games left. I don’t see us picking up many wins. I don’t see us getting many points. It’s only teams like Leicester who are suffering more than us can we actually do we may have a chance. Although 50 points is the magic number but if we don’t pick up another point, I don’t think it makes us safe. I feel our only chance for extra points is Portsmouth and Preston.

No & one more win should do it

We have eight games left but five of them are at home.

We have Portsmouth, Watford, Bristol City, Swanssa and Derby. One win and two draws will be more than enough, but if we can't beat Portsmouth & Swansea at home we deserve to go down!!

We need to drive forward and go beyond our 56 pt finish last season. Ten points from 24 should be the minimum asked ouf our players. We need to get into the 60s to show there is progress from last season.

You have to think with 6 in play offs by some miracle we can keep fit the key players it’s achievable it’s those injuries that have hurt us

As for safety another 5 points I can’t see teams below getting to 50 just my opinion

No exactly Shaggy it's nonsense. I think 53pts got relegated once in the last 20 years and the standard of the bottom sides is as bad as it gets this season
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

There are five teams below us who aren't in the bottom three, plus the team third from bottom. Its highly unlikely that all of these teams will be able to catch us and we dont get another point. There'll be games where they play each other too.

As good as safe, but one more to be guaranteed.

Definitely safe(obviously not if things go really pear shape) , I thought we were safe even before today's game. Nice to get a win again.

We should be safe but, we have a decent margin and it's entirely in our hands. I imagine we could lose the next 4 games and it'd STILL be in our hands.

But, until we hit 54pts we should assume the worst. Best thing is to get the next 4pts ASAP.

Portsmouth will be looking to get points from us next weekend in their own quest for survival which looks more immediate. If I were a manager, my own philosohy, particularly for the situation in which we find ourselves, would be not to look in the rear-view mirror but to always look forward to see who we could catch to climb the table. There are 3 points between us in 16th and 9th position. If we are not safe yet then some of these can't be either until of course it becomes mathematically impossible. If we give ourselves little targets on a game-by game basis we can stay motivated and in the process not only stay up but get up that table a bit: let's make our own agenda. I'm stating the obvious here I know, but a team that has to rely on others to do them a favour deserves the drop.

Might be stating the obvious, but it's bang on!!!!

                          We're 10pts off six place.

Five of our remaining eight games are at home.

I thought I read somewhere that top 2 get promoted, and the play-offs have been extended to the next 6 places, so up to 8th have a shot at promotion?

                            If so.................... COYRs

i would be very happy with some solid performances as players comr back from injury and a top half finish.

i really do not want to be yoyoing our way gradually down and squeakling le bum.

i'd rather we just went down and hit hard reset as the only thing we're conssitent at now is this mediority of some decent results and games offset by plenty motr poor results and games one season after another, one coach after another.

So please, top half, buimd some squad depth over the summer and lets crack on.

Or f''k it, let's blow it all up.
