Injuries are crippling us. Looks like Madsen could be out for a period. Saw him after the game, limping - he said ‘not good’ when I asked him how he was. This makes the decision to loan out Field even more questionable as Morgan not good enough and Varane out for at least 2 more weeks.

Maybe it’s time for a shift of formation to 5 4 1 given we have better defensive options with Mbengue back and dare I say it JCS fit and available.

Assuming no Madsen I’d like to see this team v Hull and or Southampton away.

    Hamer - I just don’t rate Walsh

    Mbengue
    Dunne
    Edwards
    JCS
    RND

    Hayden
    Smyth
Chair - assuming he’s fit or Vale if not
    Morgan

Kone - although he was also limping at the end

    Subs

    Walsh
    Esq
    Adamson
    Cook
    Saito
    Bennie
    Vale/Chair
    Kolli
Obikwu (if fit if not no idea)

I'm intrigued to see how the club is going to explain our horrendous injury record this season. Last year they sugar coated it by incorporating youth and women's teams.
There is no hiding away from the fact that our injury record is simply inexcusable!

Is it the pitch? Is it bad medical staff? Is it recruitment of injury prone players? Who knows?

We do seem to have a lot of players who are either young, small or inexperienced by just stepping up a level. Combined, they may not be as robust as seasoned pros around the 5'10" mark......?????

If the team is in development and the passing isnt as accurate as it should be, or there's some panic in our play, then we're more likely to be chasing the game and going into 50/50s......?????

Good players will always find space and look as if they're strolling through games.

I wonder if that guy we signed as emergency cover for Burrell's injury absence will end up being out injured longer than Burrell..... fact he got injured in training 5 mins after signing was quite remarkable but if he then outstayed Rumarn in the sick bay that would be the most QPR thing to happen this season.

Chair to miss at least two more QPR games - West London Sport:

Ilias Chair will miss QPR’s matches against Southampton and Sheffield United. Chair, who has been plagued by injuries during the past couple of seasons, took part in full training last week and appeared to be on course to be available for the trip to Hull. However, he was not involved in Saturday’s game and is […]

Are they injured or ”injured”? Stephans ”we have to be careful” - are the players using that because he’s soft? Excuses all around? Why so many setbacks regarding injuries and not back according to schedule?

Makes you wonder whether they're being under trained. All this sports science stuff....are these guys ever beasted in pre-season? All I've every seen is light jogging......

As far a chair is concerned he had a major back injury and a knee issue before he signed hus contract extension. I bet he couldnt sign it quick enough from a physical perspective. They do tend to say that back issues tend to lead to hamstring issues. His contract extension did seem a bit of a gamble to me.
