Scored a hat-trick for Dusseldorf against Gent! Hope we can still negotiate his transfer. I mean, hope it is not agreed on his goals tally in England!

It was only a friendly but it's a great start for him. I'm still not sure why it didn't work for him at QPR. I know he's only on loan but he looked to have adjusted to our league last season until his injury and then this season started off badly for the whole team so difficult to judge. Hope we don't regret this one.Originally posted by Martinmalta View PostScored a hat-trick for Dusseldorf against Gent! Hope we can still negotiate his transfer. Be handy if he starts banging goals in and we can recoup our outlay on him or better still make a profit. Be great to get a windfall in January without losing anyone from our actual matchday squad. Still, one swallow doesn't make a summer... see how he's doing 10 games in.

His wife was unhappy in England away from her family, so that unsettled him. Im sure the loan fee is equivalent to a year the transfer fee we paid, plus they'll cover his wages which werent huge by championship standards (apparently)
I hope his family settles and he does well. He never seemed happy on the pitch.

Think you're being optimistic about a loan fee.... who'd pay a fee to us to take a miserable, unhappy, misfiring player we were obviously relieved to get shot of? Just getting his wages off the books and the potential to sell him as a hot commodity in coming year is a good enough result. It might pan out like Kelman did - that'd be good for us.Originally posted by SheepRanger View PostHis wife was unhappy in England away from her family, so that unsettled him. You're probably right.....if he was proven perhaps clubs would pay a loan fee too. I think I read his wages were about £8k a week? Easy to get him off our books at that rate.Originally posted by Abseits View Post

I dunno what the stats say (and I'm dubious about stats anyway- didn't Cov have an xg of 1.5 the other week against us?) but my impression was that last season we barely averaged 5 shots on goal a game. At home we were particularly awful, just not creating any real goal-threat for massive chunks of play. I feel Celar has to be judged in that context: playing for a team on his todd up front with zilch service.
Like many of us, I have a belief there is real talent somewhsr in him but the move to us was wrong place/wrong time. Hopefully he'll tear up the Bundesleague and become a player many teams want to sign from us in the summer.

Why are you feeling so sympathetic to a multi millionaires wife, no wonder the world's gone mad with this kind of mindsetOriginally posted by SheepRanger View PostHis wife was unhappy in England away from her family, so that unsettled him. Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.
I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.
We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Because day to day happiness is not determined by money after a certain amount of wealth has been achieved. He might value the happiness of his loved ones more than money in the bank. If you, and your ilk, can only gauge wellbeing against the value of money no wonder the world's gone mad with this kind on mindset.Originally posted by WeAreQPR12 View Post

Try listening to a famous Beatles song.
