  • Injuries - including Dembele

Who else was at the game yesterday?

WLS reporting that Dembele came off with cramp, no way - I was in front of him and he pulled his hamstring in my opinion and looked in complete agony whilst he hobbled off!

Dunne and Cook are doubtful for Saturday

    JCS definitely out

Kolli and Frey no where to be seen.

Our injury record is so concerning and shows no sign of improvement and will be our downfall this season as we have a small squad. Bennie or Chair as a lone striker is not going to work.

Celar has a new born which is fair enough but has not featured before then and is allegedly off.

I know it’s only preseason but to have gone through the whole lot without any strikers is shambolic.

When we signed Poku, I thought ‘here we go’ this could be a great season, now I’m not so sure !!

Exactly what I thought as we went past me in the lower loft, definitely a hamstring injury. But Ben Williams is hardly going to let info out of the club that is a muscle injury after his comments at the fans forum. I bet Cook and Dunne are also muscle injuries too, but I bet they are marked as something non preventable so they don’t mess the stats up.

Also what has happened with Smyth? Haven’t seen anywhere that he is injured? Maybe being left out until new contract agreed or he is leaving this window?

Watched game on stream. Paid around 2.15pm, logged on. Brentford warming up on their own. No sign of our players. Looked odd.

      Anyone else notice?

Need to get Lucy Bronze in to teach them a bit - she played the whole of the Euros with a fractured leg!!

There's no real problem with erring on the side of caution in a friendly and being extra careful with minor knocks, tweaks and twinges but blimey, we seem to have a lot of brittle players with the constitution and fortitude of a new-born kitten. Feels like we need THREE players for every position and a squad of 30 to get through a 46-game season.

I have the ultimate solution to our injury problems, put all the money into AI. Get robot players out there, no more injuries that a spray of WD40 won’t fix. And get to see your “favourite players” out there week in week out. AI Bowles, Marsh, Ferdinand etc, Ben Williams would be loving this 100% squad availability too

He missed 3 months of last season for Dundee with a hamstring problem.

WTF is wrong with young men today, a load of whimps, 1 game and they need a rest FFS.

Are some of them swinging the lead ?
