True, but he has clearly shown he has eyes on a bigger prize. If the team can get into the top 10 he may well walk at Xmas if an offer comes to him. It's better to cut ties now and bring in someone who is more likely to see the season through and have some consistency with the new squad.

There would be too much uncertainty if he stayed and that may rub off on the players who are putting in the hard yards.

Horrible Marti football. Just about survived football.
      Go, please.

So we need to bring in a manager with no ambition, glad we don't sign players with that mindset
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

If he can sit the players down and say that all he did was discuss another opportunity to potentially manage at a higher level, and as players they want to play at the highest level they can as well, it might work.

My gut feeling is we need someone committed to the whole of next season, and Im not convinced thats Marti. He's shown he's prepared to drop us.

No I do get your point sheep and it's a fair one but we still need to be careful and not to cut off our nose to spite our face because I am looking around and decent quality managers look very thin on the ground. I just see us now being better off keeping him if it was to be possible

Whatever the club decides to do is good enough for me. We'll have winning and losing patches no matter who's in charge.

I liked Marti and how he held himself in interviews etc, thought on that hand he was a credit to the club. However, no coming back from this saga, see ya.

                  Forget Marti, he's gone.

We need to gamble on coach stepping up to first managerial job. Beale was inspired choice, started well, head was turned. Do it again. Find young coach working at Premier league academy looking to step up.

Yes, forget him. Nobody is bigger than the club. We move on.
I have supported Rangers for 55 seasons, since March 1969.

Imo, It was not boring to watch us when it functioned. Injuries and not replacing Ben Williams indeed played a part in our downfall, as I see it.

Might as well stick with Kevin Betsy. I think all the players like him.

I’m in the in the let him go camp, not brilliant football last season and not being in a relegation battle doesn’t register as a success. Not sure he understood Championship football and not sure he’s any the wiser now. QPR still a big club so hoping we can attract someone with a better track record. Need to spend a few quid though.

Ben Williams to be based at QPR again:

Ben Williams is set to return to being based full-time at QPR. Williams was brought in as director of performance during the summer of 2023. He became a key figure, overseeing the club’s sports science, medical, physiotherapy and nutrition departments. Having been credited for Rangers picking up substantially fewer injuries during the following season – […]

On reflection, didn't we take Marti from another club?
If we are now saying we will let any manager go that talks to another club while managing us, it's going to be really silly if we now go hire a manager that is already employed too.

I think we've put ourselves into a corner on this one and set an expectation to only hire out of work managers. Otherwise any manager we hire is basically already a snake for coming to us and will do the same to us as they did to their current club.

It was the going behind the club's back that gets people's rattled. If we want to talk to another club's manager we ask their club's permission first. That's the agreed process and WBA are just as much to blame. So much for poaching regulations!!!
