Fernandes got little dosh left, I suspect. Hughes & Redknapp took advantage of his lack of football smarts, although both I'm sure hoped to do well with someone else's cash. Desperately poor decisions to hire those two. I said so at the time. And running an airline during Covid was always going to be very tough. He must have lost a fortune added to that wasted by our 'management team'. Nevertheless, Fernandes tried his very best and is a decent bloke (not sure if I can say that about Hughes, Joorabchian & Redknapp) but at the end of the day, didn't have much of a clue. Even that Formula 1 Italian sleaze bag who bought Bernie on board (name escapes me at the moment) was far, far sharper.
EDIT: Just remembered it was Briartore.

That pretty much sums it up. He always had the best of intentions but it never worked for him. I hope we won't regret him going, but I'm sure he'll have learned never to invest in a football club ever again.

About time Amit & Co went too.

Too shinny and they dont put their hands in their pockets. Its Ruban who's been doing all the funding.

Nice guy had good intentions but was very nieve ripped off by Redknapp and Hughes, hopefully we w,I'll have someone that is not going to be ripped off by agents and dodgy managers.

I heard that he was proper pissed off and felt that Sir Les was made a scapegoat, heard this within the club
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

As Chairman / Director Im sure he would have been talking a salary, which has now gone to reduce costs.

Be very careful what you wish for...

Owners pumping £2 million a month must be getting twitchy, and then we are screwed.

Its Ruben who has been providing most of the finance which get converted into a greater share allocation on maturity. This has diluted the others shareholdings to nominal amounts. I would expect the Mittals to cut ties shortly too.

Amit just gets wheeled out for a bit of PR. Ruban is the one who's truely committed and he bought Tony's shares.

From the last set of accounts there were £11m in loans converted into shares. That was distributed to the following:
                  - 51% Total Soccer Growth owned by Ruben £5.6m
                  - 27% Qpr Asia owned by Tony Fernandes £3m
                  - 12% Qpr Newco owned by Richard Reilly £1.3m
                  - 10% Sea Dream owned by the Mittal family £1.1m

But it does seem Tony has cut his losses and didnt want to put anymore of his money into the club.

It would now appear that Ruban owns circa 82% of the club.

I hear this all the time from posters that we are losing 2 mill a month or 500k a week but how ?
We pay #### wages , we don't spend money on transfers.
There are at least 6 teams in league that get smaller crowds than us , our ticket prices are high.
What a #### show of a club we are.

Les wasn't a scapegoat he was a useless #### that had the club on a downward spiral since he's been here and it will take years to recover.

You normally pay players 17 or 18 years old and over , so probably under 18s , under 23s , b team and first team squad, so probably 70 players . That leaves us with a hell of a lot of coaches and managers. The club is a joke .
We should just have 25 first team squad and 18 b team do away with the rest of academy.
No director of football , a manager for each team with an assistant and half a dozen coaches.
                            Then two physio's a doctor .
Invest in a good scouting network that should enable us to stay within our £22-1 m budget.

I must admit, when I saw we have 136 people on the playing side of the business I was shocked. That must include A/B, U18s and kids. We also probably have 40 people working on the womens and girls teams. Then we have all the coaches, performance analysts and medical guys for male and female teams.

It just seems a very big number when you see the lack of quality coming through internally into the first team.

With the amount of money the owners are losing, and Tony deciding enough is enough, can we justify having a womens team? Do we need so many coaches and analysts?

Surely there'll be a strategic review of our footballing operations when we get a new DoF.
