Was a very good manager for us but the run from end of Jan til April ultimately cost him his job. Can't defend that run of form unfortunately. Plus his reluctance to bring in young players and then play people out of position and leave empty spots on the subs bench made up the owners minds that this guy had to move on. Shame but the right decision imo.

FORMER QPR boss Mark Warburton has been appointed as the new assistant manager of West Ham.

The 59-year-old replaces Stuart Pearce, who announced he was leaving to pursue "other opportunities" at the end of last season.

Good move for him - probably never going to get a go in the premier league as a No1 - this way he is working with players of a much higher level
