Can't write dykes off as a failure. The guy hasn't been fit for much of the season. He's not suited to the way we play plus he doesn't really get much service. His all round game has been poor this season but at the moment he's a better option than any other striker we have. Give him a chance.

He’s a failure of a signing - the list is signings by the club that have failed!

we signed him - we played him a bit but for what ever reason it hasn’t paid off.

if he were a successful signing he would be playing for us

so not a daft comment if you read it properly
