With the transfer window closing Monday, and despite all of our wish lists, if the cost of making a move is to see us lose a lynchpin then IMHO make none.
Dickie? He’s part of an emerging back three that’s as good as any other.
Willock? Rate him our MVP and irreplaceable.
Dykes? His two goals against Reading show his upside, and with all due respect Charlie and Andre are not enough to give us a shot at an automatic bid much less assure a playoff spot.
Would love a Jamie Patterson to give us more punch up the middle, but with Ilias soon returning that is not as pressing. And why risk upsetting the team chemistry that’s building with every game?
Stand pat.
We already have a winning hand.
