Is this the closest season ever?

Only 8 points between 11th and the drop zone with over half the season done.

Was thinking that yesterday. Poor old Wycombe aside everyone in bottom half seems up for a fight and are picking up points. If we had not won away to Watford and at home to Blackburn we would be in bottom three and those were two very good results. Will make it exciting but most other seasons we would be circa 10 points clear not just 5.

Good news is teams like Lootown are being drawn back into it having been well clear.

Yep, there are teams higher than us in the league who should be looking over their collective shoulders. Some of those teams are on a poor run at the moment, and probably conentrating on the playoffs rather than the relagation places.

All teams right up to Preston in 11th are currently involved in the relegation fight.
with the exception of Wycombe any of those teams are more than capable of staying up .
Could be that 52-53 points will be needed to stay up this season

So if we average a point a game in our remaining matches we should be safe which for me is quite an achievement given the state of the squad to start the campaign!

Its certainly a close season for all teams , not just those fighting relegation.

52 points might just about be enough to stay up. Hopefully we can keep on picking up points this month to pull further away from the bottom 3 and push on up the table.
