He is too slow for this league ,imo. Not saying the other defenders are any better, that`s our problem... Think I want him to stay now that Goode etc seem to go to other clubs...

We shouldnt be paying £3m for any player.
There are plenty of premiership academy players out there we could sign and send them out to L2 clubs and we could then turn them into £3m players.
Get ten lads in on £2k a week and loan them out for £1k a week and see who comes good. Out of those ten players we'd surely get two who could play in our first team after a few seasons.
Get the sausage factory churning...

That sounds like a reasonable strategy that QPR could try out.Originally posted by SheepRanger View PostWe shouldnt be paying £3m for any player.

One things for sure. After he was dropped at the start of last season and stripped of his armband he was an absolute model pro the way he played 100% when Barbet got injured and MW has to play him. He’ll do the same if no one comes in for him and leave on a free in a year if he isn’t sold.

I too was impressed with the professional attitude Leistner provided last season and yes, if QPR cannot sell him they should select him for the team because although slow, he is a solid defender to have in the defence.Originally posted by Rich View PostOne things for sure. Bloody Les, makes you wonder why they pay him don't it, the board should have a look on this Forum, some real sharp people on here.Originally posted by Buffalo View PostPlans change, managers change, circumstances change and sh1t happens. You can't plan for everything and not everything works out even if you do plan for it. Especially when people are involved.
Oh, and whatever does go wrong is Les's fault.

Compared to our big earners of the past who were on £50-100k a week he was an economy signing. But now we've lost our parachute money he is now classed as a high earner. I believe we want average wages of £7k per week but BFG is on £16k a week.Originally posted by MYU View PostI thought he was our best defender, always won the ball in the air too.
We signed him after we were making cuts, there is no way he is on massive wages.

QPR are looking to reach a financial settlement with Toni Leistner after telling the defender he is not in Mark Warburton’s plans for the coming season.

Shame.
