Player has to agree to any move. If Wells agreed a permanent move now he would lose out on Premiership wages for the rest of the season, unless some kind of deal is done. He also has to agree the move in the first place. If he is as happy here as he says he is he could just stick with us and look to sign in the summer.

Burnley will want to get him off their wage bill so unlikely to take option to renew.

Overall could move on but unless one of the big clubs at this level comes in we have a reasonable chance in my view of keeping him.

would anyone swap Wells for Austin right now?

would be a shame for Wells to go, I've always liked him!

          Bos on Southampton radar,
          wells possible return to Burnley,
          Eze possible on way out.

According to the click bait sites, which are then copied by the so called papers, Southampton and Spurs are interested in every player in the division under the age of 25.

Think we may have to put up or shut up if we want him

Bottom line, this is all down to Wells
If he leaves us and joins Bristol it's all down to him.
Because Burnley can't make him go.
All he has to say is I want to go QPR when my contract runs out in the summer.
We might already have an agreement in place with him.

If the Soton are willing to offer the fools £7M for Joe Bryan, surely Bos is worth £15M+ ?

If all of that happens my hope is we get good value for Eze and Bos and we have enough points to stay out of a relegation scrap, I'm ok with MW having funds to build a good Championship squad for next season!

To be fair, as frustrating as it may be but this is exactly what should be happening and means we are starting to get it right again. Young players becoming sort after by other clubs. It was we did in some of our most successful periods. However look at Freeman, the players may be better waiting and getting regular football and being the star player.

Hard decision for player , stay and be a regular or quadruple your wages but be a squad player.
