Yeah I'm sure he was.
But...... back to low spending, we were always competitive, and could regularly
beat Chelsea, Man Utd etc even though we spent naff all.
Used to annoy the hell out of my mates.
We seemed to uncover player after player and get the best out of other teams cast offs.

Yep, FFP is having the desired effect (protecting the big clubs from competition by keeping smaller clubs "in their place").

You could look at it like that.. But having dosh hasn't always worked.
