    2019 Starting lineup?

Assuming we lose Freeman and Luongo, and in light of today's departures, here's what the starting XI could look like short of a recruit or two coming in.

    G Lumley
    RB Rangel
    CB Furlong
    CB Leistener
    LB Manning
    DM Scowen
    MID Chair
    MID BOS
    MID Eze
    F Oteh
    F Smyth

Off the bench: Smith, Shodipo, Kakay, Hamalainen, Hall, 2 others

With that said, our two top priorities in the recruitment game (given we could play BOS at either forward or midfield): LB and CM

That may well happen. Would be sorry to see that, but if he goes we will need to recruit at CB as well. Hall, whether or not he stays, is a ticking injury time bomb.

Smyth is a winger not a forward and will do well to get seven goals next season.if we start with that forward line we'll be going down.

That looks like a team nailed on for relegation.

Okay. Understand the concern. But what's the remedy? We can no longer spend what we want due to FFP. We are likely in for a scrap re relegation. So if you are Les and the management team, what do you do that you can ACTUALLY do without getting a 12 point deduction a la Birmingham City?

Try and buy two cheap foreign strikers and prey to every God you can think of that they'll come good.

                We need a turd polisher.

I cant see freeman staying but hope we use funds sensibly. Squad must be improved upon now we have released some wage funds. i watch a fair bit of League one the three coming up luton will be ok, other two think they will struggle even if sunderland are one there crap. Charlie wyke is shocking.

Im not sure we will be as bad next season but we do go through the mangle as a Rs fan.

Extremely important recruitment period this one. Need to bring in bodies, on a budget, that will be better than what got released. The loan window closing earlier will have a massive impact as well. It would be good to get some promising loan players in like what Derby and a few others have done.

This lineup is where we begin heading into the off-season transfer and loan markets. Would like to upgrade in at least five spots, but let's be serious. We can't afford massive upgrades. So choose up. Do you want to focus on an LB and midfielder, or should we look to what Sheep Ranger and others have suggested re going after two possible finishers up top? We ALL agree QPR is facing what could be a very tough period. But like Les and Lee and the others at the club, we must face the truth that we are going to start next season with more questions than answers. Cheers.

We have two strikers, Oteh and Smith so firstly we need two more as a priority. Maybe we can buy a League 1 or 2 striker for under 500k and get a Championship loan striker in for 50/50 wages. There will be a large pool of out of contract players too of which we'll need some experience at LB and CB and hopefully CM - getting Cameron for another season I think would be ideal. Just hope this time we do our business early and give the players time to integrate before the beginning of next season. Can't afford another bad start as I think it'll be an even tougher league next year. If we don't do good business and start with this XI we'll be screwed.

My understanding is that we are currently within FFP limits. So, if the playing budget is £11m we need to be creative because we will still need money for signing on fees and loans fees for any new player coming in. I think we need to sell Freeman and other other player that commands a decent fee. We need money to wheel and deal even for frees/loans and the odd £250k signing. It's going to he s fine bslancing act but some selling us critical to it imo.
