The more I think about it, the more I'm convinced it was more about saving money.
Steve is not stupid, I can't believe it was fully his idea alone to lend out that many players. I know most were probably not on big money, but we really have to penny pinch for the foreseeable future, so every penny we can save, counts.

It's the FA cup, our default position is to get knocked out, so don't be surprised by that.
But..........we might buck our trend, and get knocked out by Watford instead.
          Don't worry about it

We are moving toward an interesting dilemma on the front line. The lack of consistent punch there is evident to all — recently the best has perhaps come from Matt Smith whose head is a lethal soccer weapon. Do we play him more? Do we start him over Pavel? We could also use more from our future superstar Eze. Some games he just doesn’t seem to be all there, or all in. If he ever develops a Charlie Austin like thirst for the goal, watch out. Til then, he’s clearly a work in progress.

Rangel, Hemed and Cameron all back very soon. Back to full strength then, with an albeit thinner squad now.

Hard to see what's going to be different on Tuesday given the squad we have after loans and injuries The team has looked tired since the new year, contracts being seen out, no competition for places, nothing really to play for any more this season.

Just hope we give it a real go.

We have been struggling since the Ipswich game.

Rangel and Cameron has been huge losses for us.

Think that back 5 would give us a very solid foundation.

Would bench Eze Tuesday, play BOS and put Freeman in No.10 role
