73 we are talking bout the youngsters here who first blooded by our previous manager, if you dont like that dont post, i never bothered posting the sameto all youre cunting off tony bolx that carried for god knows how long lol, if you dont like you dont post - simplesOriginally posted by 1973 ranger View PostOteh is nowhere near ready to be a 1st team starter and not likely to be sitting on the bench. Good move loaning him out and if the move helps oteh then it helps out us in the future. Why is every single thread have to become a comparison between our current and departed manager of nearly a year ago.

Slightly different Pinkie as Fernandes's actions left us in the state we are in now in the space of 3 and a bit years. Youngsters have played but are not quite up to being regular starters, Furlong went out on loan and is now a regular as did Lumley and Eze so there is value to these boys going out on loan with the idea of being regulars in the seasons ahead.

We dont need to send out players on loan who are perfectly good enough to take anothers place through injury or poor run of form, chair and smyth are both good enough already, macs just too stubborn with who he picks and not showing enough confidence in them, when thereboth good enough and should atleast be on the bench waiting there chances.Originally posted by 1973 ranger View PostSlightly different Pinkie as Fernandes's actions left us in the state we are in now in the space of 3 and a bit years. Not to me as eze hadnt featured if at all before that loan, whereas chair and smyth made debuts last year or so, hardly the same at allOriginally posted by Shepherds Mush View Post
Same as when Eze was sent out on loan by Holloway IMO.

Speaking utter guff mate. Eze started against Blackburn in the cup the season before he went to Wycombe. He got injured in that game, otherwise he might have featured a bit more.Originally posted by Pinkie View Post

This isn't the point anyway. The point is players don't learn anything from warming the bench. It's also tried and tested that our players typically come back improved from loan spells and regular game time.
Whether you like it or not, the management team (who see these players in training every day), don't feel these youngsters are ready for the staring line up yet. As such, loaning them out make sense.
My only worry at the moment is that we might have left ourselves a bit thin on the ground. A bit of healthy competition for the starting line up is a good thing!

Guff, what part did you not understand me saying he hardly played if at all?! Smyth has already proved hes a cracking player in our first team, i dont give a monkeys wether mac thinks hes not ready for first team actions as hes proved a year ago he is, what a player does in training is not always the same as playing a competative game, some players dont give it 110% but do in real game time, im more thinking mac has judged smyth in those first couple of games, yet alot on here banged on about how great he is with the kids but seems to me hes more interested in the finished article, instead of bringing on our players.Originally posted by Tarbie View Post

Ok, great. So you know better Steve MacLaren. A man who learned his trade from Alex Ferguson and went on to manage the England team.Originally posted by Pinkie View Post
