    Maupay v Washington

Just see him put Brentford ahead. Got chance and nailed it no way was he missing. You compare that to Washington yesterday who blew both his chances, firstly hitting keeper and second chance passing to Eze instead of nailing it himself

Washington simply does not have the killer instinct to play up top

I Think washington was actually one of our better players last night....yes the first one should have been buried but the second one was the right pass..it was Eze who cocked it up with a poor first touch and weak shot

He was ok as he works hard. Can’t agree about Eze chance he’s a striker his job is to shoot and score could you imagine Austin passing in that position??? He would put it in top corner passing would not even come into his head

Remember young Paul Smyth’s winner? His first Rangers goal? Was far more difficult than what Washington was faced with there. He had the confidence to do it, Washington doesn’t.

Having said that, I think passing to Eze was the best option, but it really wasn’t the best placed pass.

If we get hamed and wells surely Washy and Sypa will go out on loan to offset some of the wages. Smith and Smyth can support the two new guys? of the new guys. Perhaps Sylla will stay...?

in the warm up i watched as wash took aim and ingram saved , off walked wash head bowed that says it all about him . lacks confidence, can't fault his work rate but he's not paid for his effort he's paid to score goals

Conor does miss some good chances, however, his overall play was much better than most. On many occasions, he was seen alone in their half trying to make pressure on their defenders without any help from his teammates. On several occasions, he was signalling to teammates to close their defenders down, yet to no avail. He was on his own doing that part of the game. What's fair is fair.

He’s pony. Get rid when possible. He might well run around a lot but he’s a striker that can’t finish. Praying for Nahki Wells before Saturday

100%. Wash has had three years to prove himself, he’s ####ing abysmal and we can’t afford passengers. #### him off, time to be nice and accommodating is over.

For a team that had lost 3 league games on the trot and after a 7-1 hammering, the first goal was vital for confidence. It was a simple chance and just not good enough. He tries but that should be a given of all our players.

I thought that last night but having watched it back a few times today, Washington does pull it back straight at Eze rather than just in front of him, so Eze had to break stride. That said Washington did try hard and did much better than Luongo and Co, who were well off the pace, just wish he had stuck that first one away as it may have been so much better last night.
