I don't think anyone has said that Wells has actually signed yet,just that he is having a medical and is very likely to sign

SMc in the post match interview says Les, Tony and Ruben have been working on bringing in Wells and Hamed for 3-4 weeks. Had to wait till the transfer window closed and hoping they would still be available. Shame some have so little faith and assume the worst that we just sit on our hands.

More importantly went on to say we are looking for quality over quantity. 2 quality players at cb and cdm/cm will make a huge difference.

i like the sound of taking a chance on the lad Thorne at Derby. Had a couple of injuries it was a very good player when SMC was there. Wouldn’t be surprised is we end up with Pearce from there as well.

Would be more than happy with Thorne if he can stay fit, was class the season we beat them at Wembley. As mentioned on another thread still only 25

So Steve actually said we are after a Defender and a defensive midfielder or is this just your preference mate?
