Having had no response from TFL twitter or FB, I have just called them. The person I spoke to, after putting me on hold for several minutes because she could see the email and that it conflicts with what the website says - has now said she'll call me back with a definitive response. Hubs started a thread to help people out. He has been tweeting, facebooking (is that a word ?) and now spent time phoning them. Assuming his original info was given to him in error, hardly any need to be quite so rude, is there?

Ok, TFL finally got back to me - the email, that they sent to about 100,000 people, is wrong: H&C and Circle line running as normal Saturday.
