          Vladimir Assisted Referee ?

Good call Rebel. In fairness, we were superb for the first 30 minutes apart from the finishing. Hopefully that will have got rid of the nerves and we’ll start to play with more confidence. The confidence we should have, given some of the players we have.

              Nah, just realistic.
The majority of results so far have shown that there’s very few gimme’s in this competition.
The whole “it’s only Tunisia” “we’re fu€king England” mentality is a bit old hat mate.
Little old Greece won the Euro’s not so long ago.
Not a blinding performance but dross ball is stronging it a bit, IMO of course.
Something to build from is probably more of a fair assessment.

Thought we played really well. Plenty of chances especially first half. Usually struggle in openers but win secured and played for 90mins

good efgort boys im happy with that

Played some good stuff early doors and then laboured a bit through the rest of the game. Three points was a must and thats what we got. Our lack of a really class creative player could stop them going deep into the tournament.

Tunisia, the highest ranked African nation who also frustrated Spain to a 1-1 draw recently.
Bit of a dodgy ref tonight too who gave them a soft penalty but denied us two blatant ones. The entire purpose of VAR is to pick up fouls like that. Blatant rugby tackles on Kane too.
So overall we definitely deserved the win and thought we played ok, and it's not often you can say England deliver when it counts at a major tournament. I expect us to go through now.

Love the fast transitions, plenty to like, didn't wilt in the heat. Highly rated teams have struggled in this tournament against inferior opposition. A deserved win from where I'm sat.

Negatives: Young is looking his age, Raheem seems to lack composure in an England shirt in the box.

Positives: Patient in the build up but able to turn on the pace, Rashford looks a serious threat.

Long way to go but a very decent start.

Can’t stand Young and agree about Sterling. What a frustrating player he is. At his best unplayable but when he’s not at it, fu€k me what a waste of a shirt.

Watched Young in the two friendlies leading up to the WC and tonight. Not once did he beat his man on the outside. Turned inside every time, so predictable. Rose for me next game.
