This is another reason why we should feel he only stays with us if he agrees to our terms. If not, wish him the best — he’s a good and gutty guy — then move on. Encourage management to be resolute here — no more caving in to a player over the interests of the team.

He's still waiting on Fulham think part of the deal is he goes their if they get promoted? but still think he will leave regardless possibly still to Fulham if not elsewhere, unless we appoint a good manager (and maybe McLaren is enough) to make him want to stay and give it a go next season
